It was July 24, 2008, when I watched this speech during a layover in Detroit. I was returning home. I remember feeling so proud in that airport.I was the only sister in the airport lounge watching the speech. I was so proud of the new positive image of black people.
It was refreshing to see a smart, cool educated man.
